Our family has been reunited

The cats arrived safe and sound very early Friday morning. I was up all night waiting for them, like Christmas 10 times over.

The three of us spent Friday and Saturday at the house, them sleeping and starting to explore and me cleaning then relaxing. Friday was my big cleaning day- attacked the kitchen with Comet, scrub brush, and plastic gloves. Saturday was a little more relaxing- unpacked some more boxes, got my new work computer running, then took a dip in the pool. I could hear the sound of waves hitting the beach while I was laying around the pool- that was nice.
Also Saturday evening our drinking water was delivered, but of course no dispenser. I'm talking about the classic "water cooler" dispensers of water which we will use for drinking, cooking, and brushing our teeth. Also got our TV satellite dish and converter boxes installed. But our US TV isn't recognizing the signal so now I have to figure out where to go for converter boxes. Seriously, nothing is simple here!

Mr R arrived late Saturday night. Again, Christmas times 20. We sat up talking for a few hours, I crashed about 3:00 AM (he didn't sleep), then we got up Sunday morning and talked for a few more hours. Then Mr R crashed for the afternoon. I slipped out and got some water and carry out food for lunch. When Mr R woke up around 5:30 we walked to the beach, which basically means walking around the walls of the neighboring house and stepping onto sand and seeing the Indian Ocean a few feet ahead of us. We walked a bit on the beach, watching all the little sand crabs running into their holes. There were some people swimming but I don't think I would go in past my knees- the water looked rough and scary.

When we walked back to the house it was turning dark and we spent some time in the pool. It was a nice way to work out the kinks of all the sitting on the flight  from the US.

We are almost there. Need to get the internet working at the house (it's installed but not activated) and get TV and water done. Then we are down to the little stuff.
