Starting to move in

The boys will be here late tonight and need a home to come to. So I've moved out of the hotel and will spend my first night in the new house tonight. I've been digging in bit by bit: received our air shipment, cleaned the bedrooms and bathrooms, bought a toaster and teapot, got internet access to the house.

This morning I bought a microwave and some groceries. Then I went to the house and cleaned the fridge. It was mostly clean but the air vents were mildewy so I had to work at it woth a QTip. This is what $20 bought me:

As at home it was the cereal that was the most expensive. But you know we won't do without cereal.

I am going to stay at home with the boys until Mr R. arrives on Sunday. I will work from home tomorrow in the afternoon. In the morning I am going to tackle the kitchen. Maybe I will take a swim in the pool. Hopefully the satellite TV guys will show up with the satellite receivers and the three of us can watch TV tomorrow night.

Money stuff:

2 satellite TV receivers: $70

One year of the biggest channel package they have: $100

Cell phone: $30

Pre-paid minutes for the cell phone: $2

Lunch in the cafeteria: $1

And you know how cheap my suits were the other day.
