Stuff I've Learned (or remembered) The Past Few Days

When people drive on the left side of the road they walk on the left side of the hall. Walking on the right side of the hall will involve you in many of those hallway dances where people have to go around each other.

The long scarf I wear can be a liability (got to keep it out of the toilet) or an asset (handy to dry your hands or wipe your tears).

They have American TV shows like 30 Rock, Friends, etc, in English with English subtitles. I can only assume that is because people here don't understand American accents.

They have a Marks and Spencer in Chennai, which is a department store I've shopped at in the UK. I definitely plan to go there this weekend.

I tried to walk from one building to another in our office park yesterday and just ended up walking in a circle back into the same lobby I left. Had to call an American from the other building to come get me. Not embarrassing or anything.

My driver keeps taking my car to do personal errands. And gas is expensive here! I think I'll be putting my foot down soon.

Our air shipment got diverted to Saudi Arabia and is spending a few days there. Maybe they'll throw some souvenirs in the box for us.

Photos from my drives in to work this week:

  1. Jennifer, I think it is time for you to change the heading of your blogs. Your life is VERY eventful. Ours should all be as "uneventful" as yours :) Mom
